“The Yoga Lounge where the Body, Mind and Soul simply become one”

YOGA

for the mind, body & spirit

The LOUNGE is my little space where I flow through yoga classes. Through poses, breathing and meditation we can learn to be fully present in our bodies and minds which encourages us to connect more deeply with our life experiences in a more meaningful way. Yoga is much more than just a workout, it’s a lifestyle. It goes way beyond the mat. And the most encouraging reason to: “WHY YOGA?” is that anyone, regardless of body type, athletic ability or age can reap the benefits of this practice. COME TO THE LOUNGE TO DISCOVER THE power WITHIN YOU AND TO UNLEASH YOUR CREATIVITY.

hatha

yoga

Suitable for all levels. This class is based on physical postures (asanas), deep breathing, mindfulness and listening to the body. Hatha yoga classes are best for beginners since they are usually paced slower than other yoga styles. If you are brand-new to yoga, hatha yoga is a great entry point to the practice.

It is a class of simplicity, repetition and ease of movement. Students will gently be instructed on how to blend their breathe, balance, strength, flexibility and power on the mat. As they are ready, students will progress to more advanced poses and different breathing & meditation techniques. We end with restorative poses that will settle the body, unwind the mind, and soften the breathe.

If you want to lift your spirits, open your heart and restore your body, this class is for you. No yoga experience necessary just a willingness to connect your body, mind and soul on the mat.

vinyasa

power

vinyasa

VINYASA means "to place in a special way" and in this case yoga postures. Vinyasa is the most athletic yoga style. In this class, the poses are coordinated with your breath and movement to flow from one pose to another. This is a slow flow class, and although poses are held the main focus is on the transition between poses.

MY SIGNATURE POWER VINYASA class will stretch you, tone you and strengthen your body and mind. You will learn how to coordinate your breath as you ebb and flow through your poses. It is a class for yogis who are familiar with the practice. (it is not for the faint-hearted) Students will begin with some breathe work and deep mindful stretches then quickly transition into a variety of powerful and playful vinyasa flows. This fun and fast class will awaken your body, increase your heart rate as well as your body heat. It will improve your balance and flexibility as well as tone and strengthen your body. If you want to feel empowered, strong and vibrant then this class is for you.

restorative

Yoga

need RESPITE and SOLACE? some HEALING? seeking BREATHING SPACE? some REFUGE for your body, mind and spirit?

a RESTORATIVE YOGA PRACTICE (RYP) may just be the gift your body needs. RYP is a soft and soothing slow paced class which focuses on long held poses, breathing techniques and stillness. Each pose encourages physical, mental and emotional relaxation while activating the Parasympathetic Nervous System (PSNS). This is the “rest and digest” part of your nervous system which controls the body’s ability to relax. When the ‘PSNS’ is activated, it slows our heart and breathing rates, lowers blood pressure and promotes digestion and it is then when our bodies enter a state of relaxation (and this relaxation delivers recovery).

During this 60 minute journey you will explore the art of relaxation through a handful of passive, receptive and long held poses that can melt away any muscle tension and mental stress. You can expect to hold each pose for 5 minutes or more using a variety of props: a key feature in RYP. Props such as blocks, blankets, bolsters or bands help you hold passive poses for longer without straining or taxing your muscles allowing for peace to settle in. This practice is a slow and gentle approach to your body, mind and spirit and will help you develop the skills needed to create space, unlock the healing power within and to self-soothe.

This is a class where you will find a safe place to restore, rejuvenate, repair and recover.

Come and let’s hold space together 💜

Yoga, as a way of life and a philosophy, can be practiced by anyone with inclination to undertake it, for yoga belongs to humanity as a whole. It is not the property of any one group or any one individual, but can be followed by any and all, in any corner of the globe, regardless of class, creed or religion
